Bird habitat meeting Sept. 9

IRON?MOUNTAIN?-The Audubon Society and the Dickinson Conservation District will be presenting strategies for improving game and song bird habitat on private lands.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 pm at the Dickinson County Library, 401 Iron Mountain St., Iron Mountain.

Attendees will learn what plants and features will attract grouse, woodcock, and the golden winged warbler, which is a species of special concern in the U.P. The event is free and open to the public.
