Cornerstone Community Carnival slated Sept. 7

NORWAY – A Cornerstone Community Carnival will take place on Sunday, Sept. 7, on the properties known as Cornerstone Ministries, located on O’Dill Drive, Norway. The free carnival will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Cornerstone Ministries involves three churches located west of U.S. 2 behind Jake Menghini Museum.

The three congregations, Grace United Methodist, Evangelical Covenant and Bethany Evangelical Lutheran, invite families and individuals from the surrounding area to the third annual Cornerstone Community Carnival that is free to all.

This community event will take place on the grounds shared of the three churches.

Everything is free.

Free food, beverages, and musical entertainment under the new pavilion. Hayrides will be available. Also many inflatables: including an inflatable slide for all ages, jump house, a pool of balls and other games for younger children.

Persons are welcome to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the entertainment or eat their lunch. In case of inclement weather the carnival can still go on inside, in the great room of Bethany Lutheran and Grace United Methodist Church.

The ministers of these churches are Pastor Jim Danielson of Evangelical Covenant Church, Pastor Irene White of Grace United Methodist and Licensed Lay Minister Linda Forray of Bethany Lutheran Church ELCA. Cornerstone Ministries invites everyone to enjoy the afternoon of fun, fellowship, and entertainment.
