ESCANABA – Jessica Nagy and Jordan Clarke were united in marriage on Saturday, May 24, 2014. The ceremony was held at Ludington Park in Escanaba, with the cousin of the bride, Ian Nagy officiating.
The couple’s parents hosted a dinner and reception at the Island Resort and Casino that evening.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Connie Nagy and Randy and Julie Johns of Iron Mountain. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Beverly Chartier of Kingsford, William and Bonnie Nagy of Iron Mountain and Leroy and Carol Cooper of Escanaba.
The groom is the son of Steve and Maribeth Clarke of Muskegon, Mich. He is the grandson of Tom Clarke and the late Marilyn Clarke of Twin Lake, Mich. and Larry and Judie Pratt of Muskegon.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, white satin ball gown with crystal beaded embroidery and carried a hand-tied bouquet of peonies, ranunculus and roses.
Jennifer Nagy of Hugo, Minn., sister of the bride, and Andra Danielson of Schaumburg, Ill,, cousin of the bride, served as maids of honor.
Bridesmaids, all close friends of the bride, included Rachel Erickson of Des Moines, Iowa; Amee Carmody of Iron Mountain; Lindsay Rigoni of Iron Mountain, and cousin of the bride, Laura Johns of Marquette.
The flower girl was Ella Peterson, cousin of the bride.
The maids of honor and bridesmaids wore knee-length satin gowns in navy blue. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses.
Steven Clarke of Muskegon, brother of the groom, served as the best man.
Groomsmen included cousins of the groom, Ryan Johnson of Muskegon, and Travis Clarke of Twin Lake, Mich. and friends of the groom, Gary Hegler of Marquette, Charlie Osborne of Marquette, and Josh Kuhn of Milwaukee, Wis.
Ringbearer was Landon Clarke, nephew of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of Kingsford High School. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s of social work. She is currently pursuing her master’s of social work and will graduate in May, 2015. She is employed with the city of Marquette Senior Center in Marquette.
The groom is a graduate of Whitehall High School. He is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard, stationed in Marquette. He is also pursuing his degree in construction management.
The couple currently resides in Marquette.
