Wisconsin offers antlerless tags
MADISON- Bonus antlerless deer carcass tags in Wisconsin are available for purchase starting Monday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m.
Antlerless tags will be sold at a rate of one per person per day. Sales will continue until sold out or until the 2014 deer hunting season ends.
A list of units and tags available can be found at dnr.wi.gov.
No tags are available in Florence, Forest or Vilas counties. Marinette County has 450 public land tags and 2,550 private land tags for farmland and 700 public land tags and 1,050 private land tags for forests.
To help hunters understand the antlerless tag purchasing process, the department is hosting an online bonus antlerless tags chat at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
