Pancheri family of Quinnesec holds 24th family reunion
QUINNESEC – Sixty plus descendants and family members of Isadore and Mamie Pancheri of Quinnesec gathered for the 24th reunion July 26 at Lake Antoine Park pavilion.
The event is held every three years on the last Saturday of July with a traditional pasty lunch (Mamie was 100 percent Cornish coming from the Cornwall area), and an Italian dinner (Isadore was 100 percent Italian, Trentino area).
Family members gather to commemorate Isadore and Mamie Pancheri and their six children, Lucille, Emanuel, Eleanor, Raymond, Elaine and Rachel.
Isadore, then Emanuel owned and operated the Quinnesec General Grocery Store.
Family members came to the reunion from Wisconsin, Louisiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, California and Ohio.
Joe and Gloria Massie were special guests, as Joe told stores of growing up in “Ole Quinnesec.”
