Iron River man found guilty in North Dakota murder case
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – An Iron River man accused of fatally stabbing his friend at an oil field crew camp in North Dakota last year has been found guilty of murder.
According to the Grand Forks Herald, Ryan Neil Anderson was convicted by jury Wednesday in the March 2013 stabbing death of Christopher King, also of Iron River.
Anderson now faces a maximum penalty of life in prison without parole.
Jury deliberations in the case began on Tuesday.
Anderson’s trial earlier was moved to the eastern North Dakota city of Grand Forks after his attorney successfully argued he couldn’t get a fair trial in Williams County because of extensive news coverage of the case.
