Pericolosi basketball aide retires

Iron Mountain’s Pete Pericolosi has lost one of his Menominee High School boys basketball assistants.

Shannon Boucher, who helped “Perc” out for many of his 40 years, stepped down as the Maroons junior varsity coach.

“During his days and nights coaching the Maroons, Boucher earned his reputation as one of the best coaching minds and one of the great characters of high school sports,” wrote Tom (Richie) Kaeser of The EagleHerald.

Boucher also played baseball. He once tagged a home run off Channing’s Mark Cambray and while rounding the bases yapped, “Thanks, Ralph, just where I like ’em.” …
