Flea & farmers markets every Thursday in Crivitz
CRIVITZ, Wis. – The Crivitz Flea and Farmer’s Market takes place every Thursday until Aug. 28, downtown across from the Village Hall and St. Mary’s Church, near County Highway A.
Vegetables, fruit, canned items, and other foods will be available, as well as handmade arts and crafts, antiques and collectibles, wood products, clothes, jewelry, plants, and more.
“Come check out the assortment of vendor items, visit local businesses, and chat with friends,” a spokesperson said.

The Crivitz Ski Cats will perform a water ski show at Lake Noquebay Wednesday and Saturday nights until Aug. 16.
Lake Noquebay County Park is located four miles east of Crivitz on County Road GG. Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets.
Upcoming shows will take place on July 30 at 6:30 p.m., Aug. 2 at 6 p.m., Aug. 6 at 6 p.m., Aug. 13 at 6 p.m., and Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. The final show will feature a corn roast.
The St. Mary Catholic Church Parish Picnic will be held in the church parking lot at 808 Henriette Ave. on Aug. 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All are welcome and admission is free. Hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, ice cream, booyah, and beverages will be served.
Events are planned for children and adults. There will be a bouncy house, games, contests, bingo, paddle drawing, and races.
Movies in the Park will continue to be screened in August at Littleland Playground in the Crivitz Community Veteran’s Park.
Movies begin at 8:50 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs or blankets and mosquito spray.
Disney’s “Frozen” will play Thursday, August 7, sponsored by Witt’s Piggly Wiggly, Ace Hardware, and Subway.
“Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” will play Thursday, August 21, sponsored by Crivitz Community ED.
The 37th Annual Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary Fund Raising Picnic will be held Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Silver Cliff Memorial Picnic Grounds and the intersection of County Trunk C and Parkway Road North Highway I.
A parade will begin at 10 a.m. The picnic will feature games, food booyah, refreshments, face painting, drawings, and DJ music.
The drawing will take place at 6 p.m. Cash drawing prizes are as follows: $1,000 for first place, $600 for second place, $500 for third place, $400 for fourth place, $300 for fifth place, and $200 for sixth place. Drawing tickets are $1 each or $5 for six. Winners need not be present to win.
Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church will host those interested in making quilts to benefit the Crivitz Area Food Pantry on Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The church is located at 716 Henriette Ave., and the meeting will take place in the basement Fellowship Hall. There is an elevator available.
“No quilting experience is necessary,” a spokesperson said. “Many hands make light work.”
