Porterfield woman injured in cliff fall
MARINETTE, Wis. – The Door County Sheriff’s Department reported that Ashley A. Anderson, a 23-year-old Porterfield, Wis. woman, was injured when she fell from a cliff July 19, according to the Marinette-Menominee EagleHerald.
The woman’s father told the EagleHerald that she is in intensive care at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis. and her condition is stable.
Anderson suffered an apparent head injury after falling from a 75-foot portion of the bluff at Ellison Bay County Bluff Park.
The sheriff’s department was assisted by several agencies during the rescue operation, including the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Department.
Firefighters and other emergency responders scaled an escarpment about 30 feet high from below to reach Anderson, the EagleHerald reported.
