Remote control airplane show Aug. 2

IRON MOUNTAIN – The Iron Mountain PropBusters Club Fun Fly-In is set for Saturday, Aug. 2 at Lilienthal Field in Merriman.

Remote control airplanes will be flying as R-C pilots from the surrounding area demonstrate their skills from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spectators are invited. Those flying planes must have an AMA membership.

Lilienthal Field is located off of M-95 north of Iron Mountain. Turn on Merriman Road and follow the signs. Persons are reminded to bring lawn chairs and umbrellas for comfort. There is no admission charge, but donations which help with field maintenance will be cheerfully accepted. Refreshments will be available.

“Come out and enjoy the fun,” said a spokesperson.

In case of inclement weather, the Fly-In will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3.
