Viola E. Kellermann

LORETTO – Viola E. Kellermann, 93, of Loretto, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Freeman Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Kingsford.

She was born in Greenleaf, Wis. on Dec. 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Theodore and Edna (Spietz) Zuelke.

Viola married Clarence Kellermann on April 12, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1969.

She was a long time member of Bethany Lutheran Church, and attended Grace United Methodist Church.

Viola worked at Henry’s Appliance Store in Iron Mountain for many years.

She loved to travel and camp, and was an avid outdoorswoman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

Viola was a member of Eastern Star, the Vulcan Extension, the Loretto Auxiliary, and a 4-H leader. She was a loving mother and wife, and especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Viola is survived by her sons, Emil (Debbie) Kellermann and Clarence “Kell” Kellermann; daughter, Norada (Steve) Perucco; grandchildren, Lynn (Pat) Brown, Joe (Tammy) Kellermann, Jackie (Rumi) Kabir, Kelly (Travis) Petersen, Amber (Darren) Schiltz, Gerri and Mike VanDyke; great-grandchildren, Tara and Erik O’Brien, Christine and Nicole Kellermann, Nathan and Zachary Kabir, Hannah, Madison and Aiden Petersen, and Grace and Josh Schiltz; brothers, Carl (Dulcia), Ted (Jackie), and Harris (Judy) Zuelke; sister, Ethel Elliott; sister-in-law, Yvonne Zuelke; as well as best friend, Bob.

Viola was preceded in death by husband, Clarence; brothers, Lloyd and Elmer Zuelke; sister, Florence Smith; and daughter-in-law, Carol (Reath) Kellermann.

Viola’s life will be celebrated with a private family service.

Interment will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.

Her family request that memorial contributions may be made in Viola’s name to Almost Home Animal Shelter.
