AURORA, Wis. – Marian L. Payette, 80, of Aurora, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born on March 15, 1934, in Felch, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (Maki) Isaacson.
She was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Felch High School in 1952. She married Butch Payette on Sept. 15, 1961. The couple, along with Butch’s brothers, owned and operated the C & R Bar in Aurora for many years.
Marian enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, and camping. She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Butch; one son Tim Payette of Aurora; one daughter Lora (John) Aberle of Niagara, Wis., one sister Mabel (Jack) Marrow of Iron Mountain; four grandchildren Bryan, Sara, and Kaitlyn Aberle, and Carrisa Payette, and three great-grandchildren Farrah, Serenity, and Wyatt.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Lee Liverance will officiate. Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Dickinson County Cancer Unit Loan Closet.
