Don’t repeat my mistakes
For many years I voted for the incumbents, thinking they had experience and knowledge. Don’t repeat my mistakes.
The primary election in August will give voters an opportunity to elect candidates for the November election. Don’t miss it. At last, there will be choices to make. No one is perfect. No one needs a life-long career. Term limits do not apply in local and county elections. Therefore, it is your responsibility to become informed and vote.
Remember, no one should tell you how to vote. That choice is yours.
Think. Then vote.
It has barely been a month since the western world expressed its support for the formation of a Palestinian unity government. Since then there have been kidnappings, murders, hundreds of rockets fired at civilian towns, huge levels of violence and an escalation is imminent.
The U.S. State Department said that they would be watching closely to make sure that the Palestinian unity government would uphold the principles of peace; British foreign Minister William Hague said, “We have made clear that our continued support to the new government will rest on its commitment to the principle of non-violence.”
How much more proof does the western world need to acknowledge that Hamas isn’t part of the peaceful solution to the conflict the world desires?
We have a flood of children who are running for their lives from Central America traveling thousands of miles in hope that Americans will take them in and save their lives.
So what are we going to do? We’re going to send them back to die.
Really? What kind of nation have we become?
A crash in
Just a little note to those who think we are in an economic recovery: beware it’s only our government that is trying to manipulate the system by any means available. It’s just a matter of very short time when we will again see a crash in the system. The Dow reached 17000 only by total manipulation by the Federal Reserve.
The experts predict when the next crash comes, we will lose 52 percent value.
Obama and his gang are trying to sugar-coat everything. One hundred million people are out of work. Those that are lucky enough to have a job are being cut to 30 hours per week, so Obamacare will not have to be paid.
For those of you who don’t know it, if you are unable to pay for Obamacare you are placed in Medicaid. What you are not told is that any property, home or any other value will be taken from your estate at your death to pay your past Medicaid bill. If you think it’s free ride, it’s not. The cost is just starting to show up.
We are living in one of the most corrupt times in the history of our nation. It starts from the top down.
Do you believe anyone in the government?
No. No. No.
In 1887 Tyler, Alexander a Scottish history professor at the
University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the
Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”
“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the
beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith.
From spiritual faith to great courage.
From courage to liberty.
From liberty to abundance.
From abundance to complacency.
From complacency to apathy.
From apathy to dependence.
From dependence back into bondage.”
Friday, June 27, headlines in The Daily News, now you will not find this out but by The Daily News.
The actors in this problem keep their mouths shut. Here’s what I read: “Disastrous tax situation may loom.” Townships seek Michigan Supreme Court decision on “big box stores valuation.”
Yes, good ole Breitung Township is involved and big time, big tim meaning spending taxpayer money by hiring attorneys that want big money.
What I see here is how you run a business out of town, instead of tax relief for operating in our area.
There are many towns and cities that want these stores and give them 10 to 20 years of tax relief. Breitung Township, this is a joke and it’s on us, the taxpayers, who pay for everything you have, but of course you have been trained to spend “OP,” other people’s money.
If the taxpayers were asked by a public hearing how they feel, I and many others would know what’s going on. But keep it secret because all taxpayers are stupid.
Breitung Township is bloated with bureaucrats. What we need is competent elected servants who guard our tax dollars wisely.
How’s that Obama thing working out for “ya” so far?
Our government must really think that we are all just a bunch of fools, as any citizen with even the most rudimentary of educations would realize that these self-serving employment figures just do not jive!
Granted, the spin doctors, liars, and economic contortionists alike, will argue that I personally have no workable knowledge of economics, but then neither do they.
According to a piece that I just read, some 217,000 new jobs were just added to our economy, while at the same time, unemployment figures remained at a whopping 6.3 percent. How is that possible? And for the record, just where do these invisible jobs reside, and what do they pay? The slaves of yore were also technically employed, were they not?
Is our government saying that a large chunk of our population miraculously disappeared, or ceased to exist altogether? Or, like the dinosaurs of old, did we have an instantaneous mass die-off?
If the truth be known, were the books cooked again, in favor of the politically ambitious?
Or as usual, has truth been lost within that shuffle for absolute power and unquestioned control?
It all boils down to a matter of truth, a commodity that is sorely lacking in government these days.
In light of recent events in Pakistan, I am reminded of two apparently overlooked facts.
When the twin towers were brought down by extremists, our reaction, nearly society wide, was anger with a determined intent to exact revenge. The Christian religion, which helped form this country and is proclaimed on our currency, almost always advocates forgiveness for harm done against us.
In our complete abandonment of any part of that philosophy,(now admit it, it was not even ever once mentioned) our religion was stripped bare of its authenticity, its sincerity.
We were revealed to be hypocrites, no better than those who misinterpreted their own religious teachings and convinced themselves that what they were doing was justified.
Now we have killed how many people?
And why? Because killing is wrong?
