Advisory panel to meet July 21

MARQUETTE?-The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Western Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council (CAC) will meet in Baraga County on Monday, July 21.

The meeting will take place in the conference room of the Baraga Lakeside Inn, located at 900 U.S. 41 in Baraga.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m.(Eastern time), DNR staff will present division reports on current DNR projects and business and answer questions from council members and the public. The council meeting will immediately follow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Agenda items include:

– ORV license restructure and regulations.

– White-nose syndrome and bats.

– Wildlife habitat improvement grants process.

– Management of game species on Game & Fish Fund purchased lands.
