Motorcycle riders hurt in crash
NEGAUNEE – Two motorcycle riders are safe following an accident at the intersection of U.S. 41 and M-94 in Skandia Township Wednesday night.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police post in Negaunee were dispatched the scene of the accident, which occurred at approximately 9 p.m. and involved two motorcycles.
One rider was transported to Marquette General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, and a second sought his own treatment for minor injuries.
Troopers said all subjects involved in the crash were wearing helmets and appropriate safety gear. One rider was cited for fail to stop within assured clear distance.
The Michigan State Police were assisted during the incident by officers from the Forsyth Police Department, Chocolay Township Police Department, Skandia Township First Responders, Skandia Township Fire Department, and Marquette General EMS.
