NORWAY – Kenneth Stanley Kososki, 51, of Norway, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1962, in Iron Mountain, the son of the late Kenneth F. and Inez (Rousse) Kososki. He graduated from Niagara High School in 1981.
Ken “Nix” Kososki was a proud Marine, entering the U.S. Marine Corps on July 28, 1982, and being honorably discharged on July 3, 1986. Ken enjoyed hunting and playing cribbage. To Ken, there was nothing better than floating down the river with a fishing pole in one hand and a beer in the other.
He is survived by his siblings: Peter Kososki of Iron Mountain, Christine (Louie) Schintgen of Niagara, and Marsha Phillips of Iron Mountain, his son Cody Kososki of Earlton, N.Y. and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.
The family would like specifically to thank Neil McConahay and Travis Poquette, for everything they have done to help Kenny the last year, and many other friends too numerous to mention.
At Kenny’s request, there will be no funeral services. Instead he asked that there be a celebration of his life with those that meant a lot to him, so a party is being arranged in Kenny’s honor.
Some of Kenny’s belongings are being donated to Marines in need.
Condolences to the family of Kenneth “Nix” Kososki may be expressed online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home with the arrangements.
