NORWAY – Janet Rindt-Schwittay, 67, of Norway, went home with the Lord, Monday, June 30, 2014, at her sister’s home in Norway.
She was born in Norway on Nov. 8, 1946, the daughter of the late Hall and Viola (Johnson) Int Hout.
Janet graduated from Norway High School in 1964, and went on to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh were she received a degree in ad design and layout.
She moved back to Norway in 1974 to be closer to her family and raise her daughters. She has lived here ever since.
Janet married Leonard Schwittay on Oct. 16, 2002; he preceded her in death on April 21, 2007.
She enjoyed art, writing poetry and books. She made one of a kind jewelry and enjoyed bringing them to craft shows with her sister Sally.
Janet is survived by her daughters Joell Rindt of Iron Mountain and Kristen Seitz of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren Nicole, Tyler, William, Joshua, Anthony, Julia, Lucy Nathan and Theo; great- granddaughter Lullaby; sisters Sally Int Hout of Norway and Susan (Gerald) Kaminski of Faithorn; special nieces Heather Weaver and Katie Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Int Hout and sister Linda Peterson.
Private graveside services will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.
