IRON MOUNTAIN – Margaret Kane Flood, 71, of Iron Mountain, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at her home.
She was born on March 26, 1943, in Greenock, Scotland, the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Kane) Cannon. The youngest of seven children, she was born and raised in Scotland and moved permanently to the United States in 1974.
In 1970, she married Louis Flood in Connecticut. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1979.
Margaret worked as a cook at Victorian Pines. She enjoyed cooking, especially cooking for her family on holidays. Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s athletic events and school programs. Margaret also liked to read and work on crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two sons Bob (Tina) Flood of Iron Mountain and Tony Flood of Iron Mountain; two brothers, Neil Cannon of Scotland and Henry (Betty) Cannon of Australia; one sister, Rina Keogh of Scotland; four grandchildren, Miranda, Patrick, and Nikolas Flood, and Tony Louis Flood; a special friend Sandy Wilke; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Pat Cannon and one sister, Nan Campbell.
Private family services will be held. Deacon Don Christy will officiate.
Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
