Three injured in U.P. crash

WAKEFIELD – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 4:20 p.m. (Eastern time) Saturday on M-28 in Ontonagon County’s Bergland Township.

Grant Larsen, 25, of Waterloo, Iowa, was eastbound when he turned left at Pendock Road into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by Laurie Miller, 48, of Ironwood, said state police at the Wakefield post.

Miller and two passengers, 25-year-old May Miller of Ironwood and 44-year-old Karla Croteau of Rockland, were transported by ambulance to Aspirus Grandview Hospital in Ironwood for treatment of unknown injuries.

Troopers were assisted by the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Department, Bergland Volunteer Fire Department, Bruce Crossing Volunteer Fire Department with Jaws of Life, Sonco South Ambulance Service, Beacon Ambulance and the Motor Carrier Division of the state police.
