Misguided politicians

U.S. Senator John McCain wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal on May 29, 2014, headlined, “The scandal that shadows Memorial Day.”

He elaborated, “The government has failed in its responsibility to veterans. American veterans are losing confidence in the one government agency that exists solely to care for them. This is more than a government failure. Going back to 2008, it is a violation of a solemn vow, and the buck stops with the president of the United States. The sad fact is that the same charges then Senator Obama levied against his predecessor’s stewardship of the VA stating, ‘It was an outrage, a betrayal, and we are all dishonored.’ This is the same guy who had the lie of the year in 2013, if you like your insurance plan you keep it, and if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor.”

His vaunted campaign promise originally was to promise to reform the VA system and it has had few results. The VA is arguably in worse shape now than five-and-a-half years ago when Mr. Obama took office.

Dr. Hal Scherz, who serves on the faculty of Emory University Medical School and trained at VA hospitals had an article in the WSJ on May 28, referring to problems in the VA system. He was totally negative and said the systemic problems with the VA bureaucracy are a harbinger of things to come.

He said the best solution would be to wind down the VA hospitals and veterans should receive their care where it can be delivered better and more efficiently.

Veterans are getting shortchanged and it’s time to repair this national embarrassment.

A Wall Street Journal article on May 28, 2014, you won’t see in the liberal media: The White House ordered an investigation after it accidentally released the name of the CIA’s top official in Afghanistan, blowing his cover. It was mistakenly included in the list of personnel attending a military briefing with the President at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. Chief of Station is the title given to the CIA’s top ranking spy in a country.

Five years ago, many Americans thought they elected the “right” people only to see them do the “wrong” things.

The Obama “circus,” with wackadoodle jerks like Harry Reid, send the wrong message. They have their own personal “showbiz” formula and it is idiotic. Accountability isn’t important to this administration, and truth and honest don’t exist.

Voters created this wreckage five-and-a-half years ago and the political spin continues. America is too good a country for unworthy, misguided politicians.
