Charles J. Cox II
IRON MOUNTAIN – Charles J. “Chuck” Cox II, 61, of Iron Mountain, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1952, in Williams, Ariz., the son of Charles and LaVone (Thompson) Cox.
Chuck married Cinde Rudrud on June 10, 1973, in Tucson, Ariz. The couple enjoyed 40 years of marriage. They moved from their longtime home in Arizona to Iron Mountain five years ago.
Before retiring, Chuck was a superintendent for a custom home builder. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at camp with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and the harmonica, and avidly followed the news and weather.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cinde and daughter, Andi of Iron Mountain; his mother, LaVone Cox of Tucson; his sister, Louise Bernstein of Tucson; nieces, Anna and Jessie and their families; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Chuck also leaves behind his companion and best friend, his white lab, Cassie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kingsford. Branch President Les Nishida will preside.
