Wausaukee Travel Club plans Icelandic adventure
WAUSAUKEE, Wis. – The Wausaukee Travel Club invites community members on a fall Icelandic adventure from Sept. 13 -19.
Departing from Green Bay by private motor coach, the group will travel to Minneapolis, then by nonstop transatlantic flight to Reykjavik, Iceland.
Day trips out from Reykjavik will include, a city tour and visit to neighboring communities, the 190 mile circular route known as the “Golden Circle,” exploration of the “South Shore” taking in the ring Road east of Reykjavik, with a panomatic descent to the fertile green farmlands of the south plain to the village of Skogar, the Skogafoss Waterfall, and the sea village of Vik. Also included is tour is a visit to the Snaefellsnes peninsula to view the Snaefellsjokull Glacier and the fishing village of Olafsvik. Travelers will also enjoy a free day to explore Reykjavik.
The cost of trip is $2,590 per person, double occupancy. Early booking by June 12 saves $100 a person.
