BREAKING NEWS

Started for all of you

EDITOR:

We would like to officially announce a new non-profit organization in West Iron County called WIC Progressive Parents Organization.

If you would like to learn more about our organization and what we are all about please visit our official website at wicpp.com. We also can be found on Facebook under groups: WIC Progressive Parents Organization. Our first official meeting will be held May 27, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Caspian Community Center.

We will also be holding a teens-only mini concert by James Reener (Frenz-e) at 5:30 p.m. on May 27 before our official meeting.

Refreshments will be available by Caspian Community Center for a small fee to help support the Center.

We would also like everyone to know that we have joined forces with the Caspian Community Center and one of our first official projects as an organization will be a summer revitalization project of the Caspian Community Center.

This will include repainting of the center, cleaning, filling the center with youth-friendly activities and items to give our local youth a place to go, and something to do besides hanging out in local parking lots and parked cars.

Our community has lost so much, including the local bowling alley and movie theater, which has given our local youth even less to do and places to go.

Our hopes for this revitalization project is to see our local community members and youth come together and unite in helping make this project possible. With a little effort, a little time, and donations of items by many people we can accomplish this in very little time.

Please consider helping make this project a success by helping in any way you are able to. All and any help no matter how small or big will be greatly appreciated.

WIC Progressive Parents Organization can be contacted via our official website or by locating us on Facebook if you have any questions, concerns, or offering of donations of any kind such as those mentioned above.

We hope to see you all at our first official meeting, and we hope to see many of our local teens, as this organization was started for all of you.

Also just a reminder to attend WIC School Board meeting May 19 at 5 p.m. We will be there and hope to see many of you there.
