Invites issued for USA Hockey Development Camps

MARQUETTE – Twenty-nine players from 17 different Upper Peninsula towns received invitations to the Michigan 14 and 15 Player Development Camps in June at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie.

The camp for the 15s born in 1999 takes place June 14-19 while the camp for 14s born in 2000 is June 21-26.

A total of 236 players from across the state born in 1999 and 2000 received invites to the tryout for the USA Hockey Select Player Development Camps in July in Amherst, N.Y.

15 (1999 birth year): Marquette – Spencer Denbeste, Justin Hendrickson, Justin Moyle, Joseph Phillips, Spencer Samppala. Negaunee – Eric Hurst, Jackson Vilona. Skandia – Aydin Frost. Gwinn – Shane Ring. Escanaba – Nicholas Bink, Gavin Schwalbach, Garth Wickham. Lake Linden – Brendan Middleton, Jack Sturos. Calumet – Edward Beiring. Hancock – Dawson Kero.

14 (2000): Marquette – Braden Golisek, Dylan Sibilsky. Newberry – Warner Young. Kingsford – Daunte Fortner. Escanaba – Colton Hayes. Rapid River – Rease Hubert. Sault Ste.
