Patriots take two
PEMBINE, Wis. – Goodman-Pembine, playing host to Laona-Wabeno, posted a 10-3 and 7-4 doubleheader sweep Friday afternoon in Northern Lakes Conference softball.
Rachel Stankevich collected the victory in the first game, allowing just two hits while striking out seven and walking five in the five-inning contest.
Teddy Peed, Stankevich, and Sydney Braaten led the offensive for the Patriots, each notching two hits and scoring two runs.
In the second game, Jenna Decker went the full five innings from the circle for Goodman-Pembine, giving up three hits. She fanned four and walked five.
Peed had two Patriot hits, scoring twice.
Kayleigh Betka scored twice after drawing a pair of free passes.
Coach Sara Seidel’s Patriots (3-0, 2-0) are scheduled to host White Lake Tuesday at Pembine.
