Rummage sale this Saturday

KINGSFORD – The Daily News Newspapers in Education program is hosting a rummage and book sale on Saturday, May 3.

The sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Birchwood Mall in Kingsford in the vacant area next to the J.C. Penney Store.

Items for sale include home decor, appliances, toys, DVDs, LPs, lots and lots of books. All books are 25 cents.

There is no clothing.

“This rummage sale helps to raise money for our Newspapers in Education program which provides newspapers to all of the area schools free of charge,” said Diane Adams, coordinator for The Daily News Newspapers in Education program. “I encourage people to come check out our rummage and book sale and help support a great cause.”

All proceeds benefit Newspapers In Education, which is a non-profit program that works toward raising literacy rates in the local area by providing newspapers and other teaching resources to teachers and students in our communities.

Newspapers In Education is a 501(c)3 non profit program.
