Free community meal Easter Sunday at Norway church

NORWAY – Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will host a free community meal from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Easter Sunday.

The menu will be ham (possibly turkey), potatoes, vegetables, dessert and beverages.

There is no cost for dinner, but a donation basket is available for those who want to make a contribution toward the meals.

The free meals will be delivered in the Norway-Vulcan area. Please call the church office at 563-8917 before 2 p.m. today for take-out or deliveries. Please leave a message if you get the answering machine, but be sure to call before the Thursday deadline, since a message you leave after that time may not be received. Persons do not need to call ahead if you plan to come to the church to eat.

“Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy some good food and fellowship with neighbors and friends. And, yes, it’s Easter, and some bunny loves you,” said a spokesperson.

The church is located behind the Jake Menghini Museum and is known as Crossroads, a church facility shared by Grace United Methodist and Bethany Lutheran churches.
