KINGSFORD – Rosalie M. “Rose” DeClark, 73, of Kingsford, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on May 20, 1940, in Phillips, Wis., the daughter of Sidney and Elsie ( Hollenbech ) Marsh.
Rose married Hank DeClark Sr. on May 3, 1958, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. The couple was going to celebrate 56 years of marriage this May. They enjoyed many trips to the casino together.
Rose worked at Norway Gravure, Grede Foundry, and Northern Lights Home Health Care. She celebrated every holiday by making a big meal for her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her kind heart.
Rose is survived by her husband, Hank Sr.; three children, Rhonda (Mike) Pearce of Kingsford, Hank DeClark Jr. of Breitung Township, and Rod (Jill) DeClark of Kingsford; her mother, Elsie Marsh of Iron Mountain; three sisters, Gwen Marsh of Iron Mountain, Joyce Gilligan of Scranton, Pa., and Diane Wiley of Idaho; seven grandchildren, Brandon Rouse, Steve Clement, Brent Clement, Tylee DeClark, Dakota DeClark, Montana DeClark and Carlee DeClark; and seven great-grandchildren, Brandon Clement, Kyler Rouse, Sirri Rouse, Sierra Phillips, Carter Clement, Nevaeh Clement, and Maci Clement.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sid Marsh; and two brothers, Fred and Tom Marsh.
Private family services will be held. Deacon Mike LeBeau will officiate.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
