KENOSHA, Wis. – Agnes M. Johnson, 92, of Kenosha, died peacefully at her residence on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Born on May 6, 1921, in Iron River, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Amanda (Piirainen) Kyllonen.
On Dec. 7, 1940, in Iron River, she married William A. Johnson. Agnes and her husband moved from Negaunee to Kenosha in 1988 to make their home. Sadly, he preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1991.
She was a member of the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Bristol, Wis.
Agnes is survived by her children, Phillip (Julie) Johnson; Sandra (Joseph Esposito) Varjavandi and Priscilla (James) Ollanketo; her son-in-law, Karl Laurel; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Edwin and Leonard (Audrey) Kyllonen; and a sister-in-law, Opal Kyllonen; along with many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in faith.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Laurel on Sept. 13, 2010; her grandchildren, Barry Papp and Kristina Papp; her sisters, Anna Johnson, Edna Nuutinen, Lempi Laakso, Fannie Ruuska, and Elaine Laakso; and her brothers, Waino, John, William and Alex Kyllonen.
Funeral services were held at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Bristol.
Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River at a later date.
The Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home in Kenosha was in charge of arrangements.
