On the front page
On Wednesday, April 2, two articles appeared in The Daily News. One was another front page article about the teen with pink hair, the other about a benefit for a baby girl less than a year old who was born with a major birth defect requiring major surgery to stay alive.
The teen with pink hair, whose mother is reportedly in good health, has not had cancer in over five years and who is not dying or suffering from cancer, as some people around Iron River have eluded to, was on page one.
The article about baby Kendal LaClaire was on the very last page of the sports section.
I understand some things are considered more newsworthy than others. But this is incredulous.
The story about baby Kendal should have been on the front page, not another picture and article about the teen with pink hair.
I would also like to encourage anyone who could not attend the benefit at the Iron Mountain Legion on Saturday, April 5 to make a donation on Kendal LaClaire’s behalf at the River Valley Bank.
