Charges filed in crash
NEGAUNEE – An Iowa woman has been arrested on drug and weapons charges following a one-vehicle roll over accident that occurred in Marquette County last week.
Jessica Ranell Jamison, 33, of Winterset, Iowa faces charges of possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy, weapons-felony firearms, possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, and operating while intoxicated-second offense.
If convicted on all counts, she could spend up to 15 years in prison.
Troopers from the Negaunee post of the Michigan State Police said that Jamison was arrested after she received medical treatment at Marquette General Hospital for injuries sustained in a March 26 accident on U.S. 41 in Michigamme Township.
Jamison will return to court for a preliminary examination on April 14. Her $200,000 cash bond was continued, and she remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
