NEGAUNEE – An Iowa woman sustained non life-threatening injuries in a one-vehicle rollover accident Wednesday morning in Marquette County’s Michigamme Township.
The crash occurred at 5:30 a.m. on U.S. 41 near Brown Road.
Troopers from the Negaunee post of the Michigan State Police said that a 33-year-old woman from Winterset, Iowa was operating a 2007 Honda Civic when she lost control of the vehicle and rolled over into the ditch.
The woman was transported by Bell EMS to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of a broken arm and other non life-threatening injuries.
Troopers said that the incident remains under investigation, but controlled substance use may have been a factor.
Assisting at the scene were Michigamme-Spurr Township First Responders/Fire Department and the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department.
