Waste of time to try

Yes, we are so fortunate to have this forum in which to voice our opinion.

Though we strive for accuracy, errors will nevertheless creep in. This is in response to the rebuttal written on Thursday, March 23, to my March 7 article.

As of February 28, 2014, there have been 2,175 U.S. military deaths in the” \o “War in Afghanistan (2001present)” war in Afghanistan and additional 132 fatalities in the broader” \o “Operation Enduring Freedom” Operation Enduring Freedom outside Afghanistan.

Some 1,795 of these deaths inside Afghanistan have been the result of hostile action. At the end of May 2010, the number of American fatalities was reported to have reached 1,000.

By September 2012, the total number passed 2,000. More than two-thirds of those deaths have occurred since the ““”>” \l “Increase_in_U.S._troops” \o “War in Afghanistan (2001-present)” American military presence in Afghanistan was doubled under President” \o “Barack Obama” Barack Obama in 2009.

As of February 28, 2014, the ““”>” \o “United States Department of Defense” United States Department of Defense official statistics lists 2,175 service members as having died in Afghanistan.

Note: The ““”>“ \o “” figure of 2,035 is higher than the” \o “United States Department of Defense” Department of Defense’s officially stated figure, although according to the website all of the names listed at have been confirmed by the Department of Defense.

Although someone at the American Legion does agree with the lady in question, when attempting to reply, they have put up enough road blocks that it’s a waste of time to try and do anything except what you think. They don’t want you to know the truth and this makes it difficult at times when searching for the truth.
