IRON MOUNTAIN – Sherri Servais-LaBonte, 49, of Iron Mountain, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born, June 21, 1964, in Spokane, Wash., daughter of Dennis and Mitzi (Bonfield) Servais. Sherri was raised on Hamilton Lakes in Vulcan. She graduated from Norway High School, class of 1982. Sherri worked for the Iron Mountain Daily News.
She married David LaBonte on June 15, 1991, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. They lived in Iron Mountain and she worked for the Dickinson County Friend of the Court office. Sherri attended American Martyrs Catholic Church. She enjoyed ceramics, her flower garden, decorating for the holidays, and especially spending time with her daughter, her husband and her loving family.
Sherri is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, David; one daughter, Laurin LaBonte of Iron Mountain; her parents, Dennis and Mitzi Servais of Hamilton Lakes; one brother, Scott Servais of Kingsford; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her cats, Cali Brown, Shadow Grey and Midnight.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain.
A celebration of life service will follow Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate.
A memorial will be established in her memory.
