IRON MOUNTAIN – Charlotte Marie Gordon, 84, passed from this life on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
“Char” Gordon, the daughter of Serafino and Maria Santina (Feira) Pancheri, and loving wife of Thomas Gordon died on March 1 at ManorCare after a short battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Charlotte was born on Jan. 15, 1930, in Iron Mountain. She enjoyed her family, the Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Braves, playing cards, going to the casino (and usually coming home with the house’s money), travelling and cooking. Over the years she worked at A&W and Burger Chef.
Char was a 1948 graduate of Iron Mountain High School. On April 19, 1952, she married the love of her life, Tom Gordon (of Niagara, Wis.) at Immaculate Conception Church, and they enjoyed almost 62 years of marriage.
Char was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Esther Shington, Katharine Rahr, Margaret Jollette and Theresa Pancheri; and brothers, Louis Pancheri, John Pancheri, Serafine “Sera” Pancheri and Paulo Pancheri.
In addition to being the loving wife to Tom, Char is mom to Tom (Cindy) Gordon, Dave Gordon and Lynn (Jerry) Kuchinski, all of Iron Mountain. She is Nona to Erick and Andrew Gordon, and Molly and Sam Kuchinski; and Great-Grandmother to Hannah Gordon, all of who survive. She was Auntie Char to numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Monsignor James Kaczmarek will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial.
Burial will be in Cemetery Park.
