Spinning Spools Quilt Guild to host special event on?March 12
IRON MOUNTAIN – Members of the Spinning Spools Quilt Guild in honor of National Quilt Month invite the public to their “March into Quilting” gathering on Wednesday, March 12 at the Iron Mountain Senior Center.
The will be starting at 1 p.m. and ask participants to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier to set up.
Member Joyce Butsic will be teaching the “Disappearing Nine Patch” block.
This block involves nine squares that you put together and cut apart. The guild will provide the following: 6 1/2-inch fabric squares, cutting boards, rulers, iron and ironing board. Members of the club will be in attendance to help in any way needed.
Participants should bring their sewing machine, scissors, thread and bobbins (in a neutral color) and a seam ripper. Persons will be making a Disappearing Nine Patch table topper. They will have samples for you to see the finished project.
