DENMARK, Wis. – Joe “JT” Thompson, 60, of Denmark, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014. The son of the late Bernard and Marcella (Gajeski) Thompson was born on June 5, 1953, in Green Bay, Wis.. He worked for Ft. Howard Paper until retirement. Joe enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling and Packer games. He was a thoughtful man, who lived a selfless life and enjoyed sharing his garden harvest with others (especially his pumpkin patch).
Survivors include his son, Jesse Thompson and his mother, Debbie Fredericks; brothers and sisters: Dolores (Fred) Heezen, Robert (Gail) Kozlovsky, Pat (Dan) Gaffney, Mary (Dick) Malewiski, Carol Levenhagen, Kate (Mike) Helgeson, Larry (Lisa) Thompson and Michael (Janice) Thompson, and nieces, nephews and other family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gertrude; a brother-in-law, Randy Levenhagen; and a nephew, Tom Heezen.
Family and friends may visit at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty Road R in Denmark from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. There will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
