10th Annual Caring House Mystery Dinner Theater on March 7-8

IRON MOUNTAIN – The 10th annual Caring House Mystery Dinner Theater production of “Polter-Heist’ will be held Friday and Saturday, March 7-8 at Pine Grove Country Club. Cocktails begin at 5 p.m. wth dinner at 6 p.m. and curtain at 7 p.m.

The interactive murder mystery by Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose was produced by special arrangement with The Lakeside Players, Tafton, Pa.

This event is fun from the moment you arrive. Doors open at 5 p.m., when you’ll get a chance to mingle with Madame Zelda Von Schpookum, Professor Lionel Specter, and other cast members – who just might drop hints about themselves and the show. At 6 p.m., you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner of either beef tenderloin or salmon, while the cast keeps a low profile. The main show starts after dinner, at around 7 p.m.

The action takes place at The Mouldering Pines Inn, where the Boogeyman Outreach Organization is holding its annual convention. As an honorary member of BOO, you’ll observe a sance, meet the inn’s ghostly resident, and learn some dark secrets about each cast member. In addition to Madame Zelda and the Professor, you will also meet Phyllis and Jim Lodge the squabbling owners of the Inn, Dana Skullery and Fox Smolder from BOO’s Washington, D.C. chapter, and Janet from Another Planet the ditzy DJ with a questionable past. Before the night is through, someone will be ruthlessly murdered, and it will be up to audience members to solve the crime. Prizes will be awarded for Best Detective, for the Best Dressed Male and Female Paranormalists, and more.

Tickets are $40 sold only in advance until Friday, Feb. 28 – at the following locations: The Caring House; Frog Country WJNR Radio; EconoFoods; First National Bank of Iron Mountain. For further information call: 774-1337

The cast includes: Christine Burns as Madame Zelda; Travis Lewis as Professor Specter; Kim Tobey as Phyllis; Josh Tobey as Jim; Karen Larson as Skullery; Teddy Izzo as Smolder; Carla Anderson as Janet; special cameo appearance by Anna Garcia; hosted by Scott Horton.
