GLADSTONE – No. 5-ranked Gladstone used their final regular season game to tune up and get ready for what they hope will be a full week of district play.

Gladstone coasted past Iron Mountain 43-30 in their home finale, on Senior Day, Saturday afternoon.

The Braves got out to a 28-13 halftime lead as head coach Karl Dollhopf rotated freely after putting five seniors out on the floor to start the game.

Beaudry led Gladstone (14-6) with 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Braves ended the regular season on a seven game win streak.

Iron Mountain was led by Cassie Feira’s nine points

Gladstone will open district play tonight at Kingsford. The winner will travel to Menominee Wednesday night.

“We were a little cautious with the district tournament, Monday,” Dollhopf said. “There were some things we needed to polish though and we would have practiced today anyway.

“Kingsford always plays us pretty well and we’ve got to do it again at their place. The girls are playing with a lot of confidence right now.”
