Structure fire in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN – No one was injured in an early morning structure fire on the west side of Iron Mountain.

Emergency responders were alerted to the fire at 513 West C Street at about 2 a.m. today. They remained on scene throughout the morning.

Iron Mountain firefighters on scene said that they did not know if anyone was in the residence when the fire started. However, they did confirm that no one was injured, and that several pets were rescued.

Due to the possibility of collapse, firefighters were delayed in entering the residence to investigate the cause of the fire.

They said that they may have more information available later today. Check for any updates.

Assisting Iron Mountain firefighters at the scene were the Iron Mountain Police Department, Kingsford Public Safety, Breitung Township Fire Department, and Integrated First Response Ambulance.
