KINGSFORD – John William Mann, 67, of Kingsford, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 18, 1946, in Inkster, son of the late John and Nellie Mann. John grew up in Inkster and graduated from Inkster High School. He served our country in the U.S. Army. John went on to attend Western Michigan University, where he received his bachelor’s degree.
John married Heidi Bleuer on Sept. 20, 2008, at Lake of the Clouds in Ontonagon. The couple then moved to Kingsford. He worked as a stockbroker for Mobile Oil, Clark Oil and later for AT&T.
John was a member of the Menominee Moose Lodge, he enjoyed taking pictures, especially of eagles and waterfalls. He liked fishing but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi; two sons, Christopher Mann of Canton, and Edward Rusch of Kingsford; three daughters, Kay (Dave) Thomas of Port Huron, Jeanett Jedrzejewski of Kingsford and Melodie Rusch of Kingsford; and five grandchildren, Madison, Niklas, Payton, Brendan and Liam.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A celebration of life service will follow Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
