Mariucci will speak at St. Norbert College

DE PERE, Wis. – Former NFL head coach, Packers assistant and current NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci will speak at St. Norbert College on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Walter Theatre of the college’s Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. The event is a fundraiser for the college’s men’s basketball program.

Packers Hall of Famer, WGBA-TV sports director and Packers Radio Network analyst Larry McCarren will be the host for “Meet Steve Mariucci.”

Mariucci and McCarren will talk about the National Football League, the Packers and more. St. Norbert men’s basketball coach Gary Grzesk, who has led the Green Knights to national prominence, will also speak.

Mariucci began his NFL head coaching career in 1997 with the San Francisco 49ers. He was an NFL head coach for nine years, spending six with the 49ers and three with the Detroit Lions. He led the 49ers to four playoff appearances, including a trip to the NFC Championship Game in 1997.

In 1992, he joined Mike Holmgren’s coaching staff with the Green Bay Packers as quarterbacks coach, where he helped mold the talents of future Hall of Famer Brett Favre.

The Iron Mountain native has become one of NFL Network’s most recognizable and trusted voices, serving as one of the lead analysts in nearly every NFL Network on-location production, including those for the Super Bowl, Pro Football Hall of Fame, NFL Scouting Combine, NFL Draft and Kickoff.
