Man arrested for gun incident in Kingsford
KINGSFORD – A male suspect has been taken into custody for allegedly pointing a handgun at another driver as he was driving on Carpenter Avenue in Kingsford.
The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. Monday.
Officers from the Kingsford Public Safety Department said that they were alerted to the incident by the victim, who was able to identify the suspect’s vehicle.
Officers then initiated a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle in the Shopko parking lot.
According to officers, there was a handgun under the driver’s seat and a second loaded handgun in the vehicle.
The suspect was taken into custody for a concealed weapons violation and lodged at the Dickinson County Jail. His name will not be released until after he is arraigned in court.
