MANITOWOC, Wis. – JoAnn R. (King) Huempfner, 59, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
JoAnn was born on March 13, 1954, in Two Rivers, Wis., daughter of the late Donald and Bernice (Lintereur) King. She was employed as a switchboard operator for many years at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Brian Edlebeck of Manitowoc and Amy and John Plotner of New York; four grandchildren, Kyra, Emma, Lily and Elias; two sisters and one brother, Barbara (Scott) Stebnitz of Cascade, Polly (Brian) Arsnow of Sullivan and Dean King of Two Rivers; her special friend, Tim Rauch of Manitowoc; two nieces, Kara Plamann-Wagoner of Hawaii, and Megan Plamann of Milwaukee. JoAnn is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Bronson.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center in Manitowoc.
Per JoAnn’s request, there will be no funeral services.
Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.
