AURORA, Wis. – Cheryl Hetchler, 62, of Aurora, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at her home.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1951, in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Shirley (Hill) Granquist.
Cheryl graduated from Norway High School in 1969, and moved to Milwaukee right away to start working at Northwestern Mutual Insurance Co. as an executive secretary for many years.
In the mid 1980s she returned to the area where she worked as a CNA at various nursing facilities.
Cheryl deeply loved all of her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she found so much joy in being around. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She married Dale Hetchler in Iron Mountain, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 2012.
Cheryl is survived by her mother, Shirley Granquist of Norway; sisters, Debra (Dennis) Greenleaf of Vulcan, Doreen (Rocky) Carlson of Sartell, Minn., and Linda (James) Cootware of Norway; brothers, Stephen (Marcia) Granquist of Spalding, and Brian, Gerald and Jim Granquist of Norway; special friend, Shirley Balkum of Norway; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; great-niece, Adrianna; and beloved pets, Grizz and Britney.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Granquist; and brother, Michael Granquist.
Private family services will be held.
Interment will be at the Norway Township Cemetery.
