Wind chill advisory

MARQUETTE – The National Weather Service at Marquette has issued a wind chill advisory for today and Monday.

For Iron County, the advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Monday. In Dickinson County, the advisory remains in effect from 11 p.m. today until 9 a.m. on Monday.

“Cold Arctic air will bring temperatures into the 15- to 20-degree below zero range tonight,” the advisory says.

“Combined with west to northwest winds around 10 mph., dangerous wind chill readings of 25 to near 35 below zero can be expected tonight through mid-morning Monday,” the advisory said.
