Christopher N. Haserodt
OTTAWA, Canada – Christopher N. Haserodt, born Dec. 14, 1950, in Chicago, to Rosemary and Paul Haserodt, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Duhamel; his daughters, Heidi (Steve) Arden, Molly (Grover) Munn; his sister, Karen (Rick) Stites; his brother, Kurt (Mary) Haserodt; and his granddaughter, Alice Arden.
Christopher was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a medical specialist in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1976.
He graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Mercy College of Detroit in 1979 and served in private practice from 1979 to 1989. In 1989 he joined the Department of Veterans Affairs and served as a physician assistant at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
In 2009, he moved to Ottawa, Ontario with his wife and was one of the first physician assistants to practice emergency medicine in Ontario, at the Brockville General Hospital. In 2010, he joined the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensberg, N.Y. as an emergency medical specialist.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
