FOXHOME, Minn. – Mary Michelle Corcoran Schreiber, 58, of Foxhome, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013.
She was born June 27, 1955, in Bessemer, the daughter of Edward and Bonnie (Gunderman) Corcoran. She grew up in Iron Mountain, graduating from high school there in 1973. She attended Michigan State University in Lansing, and graduated from Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba. She worked in the office of the County Clerk for Dickinson County.
On Jan. 12, 2001, she married Skip Schreiber in Iron Mountain.
Mary lived a life of kindness and generosity to family and friends alike. Her graciousness manifested itself in countless ways, from caring support of family members in their spousal losses to being a doting grandmother to Rehanna and an “awesome” aunt to all of her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Corcoran.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Skip Schreiber of Foxhome; daughter, Megan Corcoran of Green Bay, Wis.; son, Doug Linsmeyer of Bloomington, Minn.; stepson, Quinn (Amy) Schreiber, and grandchildren, Jon and Rehanna, Foxhome; her mother, Bonnie Corcoran of Iron Mountain; siblings, Norma (Olson) Hoke of Iron Mountain, Bob Olson of Sagola, Carol (Corcoran) Paisley of New Richmond, Wis., Margie Corcoran of Perham, Minn., Pat Corcoran and wife Margo of Auburn Ind., and Mike Corcoran and wife Susan of Kingsford. Mary was also a wonderful aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
There will be a local memorial service for Mary at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at the Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.
