IM gets good audit, councilman resigns
By LINDA LOBECK
IRON MOUNTAIN The Iron Mountain City Council received both good and bad news at Monday’s meeting. The good news is that the audit showed the city is in good shape the bad news is that a councilman resigned.
A letter of resignation was received by the council from Councilman Dave Farragh effective at Monday’s meeting. Farragh has served on the city council for the past six years in an at-large position. The council agreed to advertise for applicants to fill Farragh’s unexpired term until the next election.
Under state law, the council must fill the vacant seat within 30 days.
