U.P. chiropractor suspended
MUNISING – The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has suspended the Michigan license to practice as a chiropractor of George Conrad Spencer Young, D.C., of Munising after he was convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct, 4th Degree, in Alger County Circuit Court.
Young was convicted of seven counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct, 4th Degree on Oct. 31. Young is scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 16.
The convictions were based on allegations of Young inappropriately touching several female patients where he worked as a chiropractor at HealthQuest in Munising.
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs issued an order on Nov. 19 summarily suspending Young’s license pursuant to the Public Health Code which provides for the mandatory suspension of a health professional upon the conviction of a felony.
